lands in demesne, 3 messuages, 3 acres land, 80 acres pasture & 4 acres wood in Barlborough; William enfeoffed Thomas Crashaw of these lands, who conveyed them to William for life, on 1 May 1618, with remainder to John Routh, his son and heir apparent; also seised in demesne of a messuage called Romeley, with 80 acres belonging in Clowne and Barlborough; 4 messuages, 1 cottage and 300 acres meadow in Boughton under Bleane, Whitstable & Hearnhill (all county Kent), held from king by gavelkind; 3 messuages, 11 cottages & 106 acres in Snaith, Gowdall and Cowick (all county Yorks.), all part of manor of Snaith and held by free and common socage at rent of 10/- per annum; lands in Barlborough held in chief by knight service; William died on 18 June 1619, John Routh is next heir and of full age; escheater to admit John for ½ mark and for a reasonable relief.
