Title | Letter to Rev Thomas Wright, Romeley, from Elizabeth Garland, Windsor |
Date | 23 Jul 1746 |
Description | Is glad Bridgehouse is in better repair than Thomas Wright expected; is Thomas Wright too hasty in thinking Mr. Billam has done him wrong?; since Thomas Wright was weary of Bridgehouse Elizabeth Garland ordered Mr. Billam to take possession, to keep or let as he saw best; after the excise man ceased to be Thomas Wright's tenant, Elizabeth Garland felt at liberty to engage him as her own; Elizabeth Garland refers herself to Mr. Billam over fencing off the river from Duke of Norfolk's land; Mrs. Lowther would like her long overdue interest. |
