Descriptionby settlement of 19 Sept. 1670, [q.v.], made on marriage of his eldest son, testator has a farm in Birkin now leased to John Poskitt for 21 years;
out of this farm son Nathaniel to have £20 per annum for 7 years, beginning Pentecost 1676, daughters Ann and Elizabeth to have £40 each per annum, and son Joseph to have £20 per annum, all for 1 years, beginning Pentecost 1683;
by settlement manor of Birkin was entailed on his son Everingham, remainder to his heirs male by present wife;
remainder now bequeathed to son Everingham and heirs male by any wife, remainder to testator's son Gervase and his heirs male, remainder to son Nathaniel and heirs male, remainder to son Joseph and his heirs male, remainder to right heirs of testator;
if eldest daughter Sarah dies unmarried then lease to Sarah, for 20 years made on 13 May 1671, of two closes in Birkin called Fleetburnes and Lea closes, to be void, and closes to be divided amongst Nathaniel, Joseph, Ann and Elizabeth;
