DescriptionTo his daughter Dorothy the manor house of Brenley with lands and perquisites of court after death of her mother, until has received £1,000 as a portion;
during mother's life Dorothy to have all lands in Kent not contained in mother's jointure, with all lands in Yorks. not given in security for her sister Margaret's portion, excepting the copyhold lands, which are to be surrendered to use of Dorothy;
all above lands to Dorothy until has received portion of £1,000;
remainder of above lands to his son Francis for life, remainder to his heir, provided that at Whitsun or Martinmas next after death of John Rollestone he pays Dorothy £30 per annum until her portion is raised;
Dorothy to account to Francis annually for all rents and profits, but if she dies unmarried before her portion is raised, then half portion to Francis, other half to pay Sir John's debts: Nephew Godfrey Copley made superviser, with power to sell a rent charge for lives out of lands in Derbys. or Yorks. if Francis fails to pay Sir John's debts within 14 months of decease;
Francis to have all arrears of rent from Snaith (county Yorks.)
Codicil: if Francis dies without issue, then Margaret to have Romeley with lands (by name), lands in Yorks. (by tenant and annual rent), lands in Kent (by tenant and annual rent);
her sister Cicilie, wife of John Hay esquire, to have lands in Kent (by name, tenant and annual rent) lands in Derbys. (by name and tenant);
Cicilie also to have lands in Yorks. (by tenant and annual rent) for life, remainder to her heirs, remainder to right heirs of John Routh;
Dorothy to have manor house at Brenley with lands (by name, tenant and annual rent), lands in Derbys., (by name, tenant and annual rent), lands in Yorks. (by tenant and annual rent), for life, remainder to her heirs, remainder to right heirs of John Routh.
