Description | Mr. Marsden and many freeholders are petitioning to enclose the commons and common fields in Bolton (county Yorks.) and Golthorpe (county Yorks.), so please send purchase deeds for farm there bought in about 1742; has heard by chance that the lead mine cause was being tried at Westminster Hall 28 Dec. 1758, between us poor miners and Duke of Devonshire; our politicians are in good humour from success abroad; the terrible executions in Portugal. |
