Title	The Death of Madame Republique
Date	14 Dec 1804
Description	The recently deceased Madame Republique, a revolutionary cockade in her nightcap, lies in bed on the left. On a table by the bed are bottles labelled 'Purging Mixture' and 'Laudanum'. On the floor beside the bed is a chamber pot, on which is written 'Vive La Liberte, Vive La Republique'. On the far right John Bull asks: "Pray Mr Abbé Sayes - what was the cause of the poor Ladys Death? She seem'd at one time in a tolerable thriving way." On the left the Abbé Sieyès holds out the baby Napoleon to John Bull and replies: "She died in child-bed - Mr Bull after giving birth to this little Emperor." The baby has the head of the adult Napoleon, and is wearing a crown and holding an orb and sceptre. Available on CD 166.
