Further Information | The decorative borders are mentioned in Ackermann's 1802 catalogue: "Twenty-four sheets of grotesque caricature borders for decorating rooms, etc. Each sheet containing three strips, the whole set measuring 26 yards." (Griffiths, 1998).
The items have been arranged in date order, even though this does not always correspond to the numbering of the plates.
