| Title | Every Body in Town : Plate 4th |
| Date | 14 Feb 1800 |
| Description | A young man talks to a and old man leaning on a stick. The young man, standing on the left, is wearing a round hat, spencer coat, long breeches and top boots. He is smiling foolishly and saying: "What a fool I was to live so long in the Country - the moment I take my seat in Parliament, how I will speechify." The older man, on the left, is dressed unfashionably, in breeches and three-cornered hat and bag-wig. He looks aghast at the young man and replies: "If you open your mouth you puppy I shall knock you down - what would you win the Family Interest, - I brought you up a dumb Member, & a dumb member you shall remain, a nod and a shake is quite sufficient to serve your friends." Available on CD 160. |
