| Description | Against a background of Georgian terraces and a grander building with a portico, four corinthian columns and Venetian window over an entrance arch, amateur horse-riders struggle with their mounts. In the foreground, at the left a young man has been thrown. Next to him a small dog barks at the horses. On the right, a group of men, most of whom wear the round hats and long trousers typical of the period 1800-1810, are examining a horse's legs. Available on CD 158. |
