Further Information	Dorothy Jordan, née Bland (1761-1816) was the daughter of an actress and a Dublin Judge. She made her debut at the Crow Street theatre in Dublin in 1779 and in 1785 she first played Priscilla at Drury Lane. She was, from 1790 to 1810, associated with the Duke of Clarence. She was best known for her comic roles, the Public Advertiser commented: "Of the low comedy of Mrs. Jordan we cannot say too much in praise" She played in 'The Romp' at Drury Lane on 30 Oct 1786, 29 Jan 1787, and 20 Mar 1787.
