| Administrative History | Leonard Wheatcroft (1627-1706), poet, lived in Ashover for most of his life and was the village tailor, publican and parish clerk. He married Elizabeth Hawley in 1657. His youngest son Titus Wheatcroft (born 1679), was also clerk of Ashover parish. |
