DescriptionJames Sherratt of Tideswell, who left a will dated c1710, was related to the Farewell family by marriage. Jane, daughter of Robert Farewell and grand-daughter and co-heiress of Sir James Farewell of Nuthall in Nottinghamshire, married John Wright of Eyam and died in 1774. The name Farewell was given as a middle name to John and Jane's son James, born in 1738
