Administrative History
The Wheatbridge Housing Association was a joint effort of the Directors (especially Philip Moffat Robinson) and the employees, set up with the intention of providing housing for Robinsons' workers. A housing estate was built off Ashgate Road in Chesterfield. Although the housing association was closely associated with Robinsons, it was not a core business activity and owed much to the personal fervour of its founders.
