Description | Edward Taylor Ltd, medical and surgical plaster manufacturers, of Monton near Eccles in Manchester, was established in 1847. In 1959 Robinson and Sons Ltd bought Edward Taylor Ltd's share capital and the company became a subsidiary, with Charles P Robinson and Robert Robinson as directors. It later came under the Healthcare Division of Robinsons. The Monton factory was closed and the production of adhesive products relocated to Chesterfield at the end of 1990. Early records of the company pre-dating the 1910 incorporation were, according to 'The Taylors Story' [D5336/16/5/2], destroyed in the course of the Second World War. |
