Administrative History
Edward Hall established a bleaching company at Whaley Bridge in 1830. By 1908 Edward Hall and Brother had become part of the Bleachers Association Ltd which in turn became a part of Whitecroft Industrial Holdings by 1964. In 1952 Bradbury Lees and Co Ltd was established by Robinsons as a holding company of Edward Hall and Bro. Ltd. The bleach works handled all cotton bleaching for Robinsons' Chesterfield works. The plant closed in 1999
