Administrative History | Henry Jackson, the son of William Jackson, appears to have acted as steward for the Simpson family on their Barton Blount estate in the 1720s and 1730s. This account book includes notes of rents and land tax payments received from tenants, memoranda of cash and repaid, details of livestock sold and goods purchased, as well as accounts for his father as parish constable, surveyor of highways, overseer of the poor and churchwardens of Barton Blount. |
