Chesterfield Borough Council Education Committee and predecessors
Administrative History
The Chesterfield School Board was established in 1871 and abolished in 1903. It was replaced by the Education Committee of Chesterfield Borough Council. The Borough Education Committee also took in the Brimington Urban District School Board, some of whose records can be found in this collection.
Custodial History
The records were deposited in the Local Studies Library in Chesterfield at an unknown date and were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in October 2000
