Diocese of Derby
Administrative History
The Diocese of Derby was established in 1927. Until 1884 Derbyshire had formed part of the Diocese of Coventry and Lichfield. Between 1884 and 1927 it was part of the Diocese of Southwell.
Custodial History
These papers were deposited in October 2000 by the former Chair of the Derby Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd. The collection is made of up his working papers and represents principally his work on the Board and as a member of the Bishop's Council. As a clergyman, he was also a member of the Diocesan Synod at which meetings many of the annual reports in this collection were presented.
