Title
Register of boarded-out children
Date
c1903-1934
Description
Gives name of child, date of birth, name and address of foster parent or certified home, date of boarding-out and removal/transfer to other homes
It is unclear when the register was first used as the entries are not in chronological order. With the exception of the first page, the pages have a date at the top suggesting the entries might record those children still boarded out at that date. However, the first few page headings are also not in chronological order, and several pages include admission dates after the heading date. It appears that a 'census' was taken to identify the names of children boarded out or in a certified home at particular dates, some children appear on more than one list according to how long their were in the care of the Union
