Transcript or IndexMy dear Madam
I wish’d to send you
a note this morning, but it
was not in my power, & as
I was desired by L[ad]y Feilding to
inform Mr Mundy of poor Mr
Powys’s death, I took that
opportunity to telling him the
result of a very unpleasant con-
versation with Miss F yesterday.
I cannot imagine why I have
no letter from Mr Mundy, but
I trust this will bring one,
as the Girl says she has told
Mr P- that she will either pay
the ten guineas at the end of
a week or leave his family,
in w[hic]h case she must go on the
stage. I will tell you more
[page 2]
when I can, but have not a
moment just now. In the mean
time I think you coud not
do anything more, & if I can
take the trouble off your hands
I shall be very glad.
Ever dear Mad[a]m
Yrs sincerely
H M Bowdler
