| Administrative History | Hester was the daughter of Edward Mundy (1706-1767) and Hester Miller (d 1767). On the death of her parents, Hester managed the Shipley estate until her younger brother, Edward, reached his majority.
In 1776 she married Sir Roger Newdigate, baronet (1719-1806) of Arbury Hall, Warwickshire and Harefield in Middlesex. They had no children. |
