Title | Letter from George Mundy RN to his father Edward Miller Mundy regarding the need for better financial support for George's brothers |
Date | 11 Feb 1817 |
Description | A personal plea made by George to his Father, about the poverty and hardship felt by his siblings, written without their knowledge. It describes the influence of Mr B Browne over Edward Miller Mundy and implores him to no longer take counsel from Mr Browne but to share the responsibility with his able sons, Godfrey, Frederick and heir Edward Miller Mundy II, who have not been receiving their allowance and are under the real threat of arrest and imprisonment for debts from daily living, not extravagance. George offers £200 to assist with any shortfall. |
