Title
Letter from George Mundy RN to his father Edward Miller Mundy regarding his wish to be appointed to a new ship
Date
12 Apr [1810]
Description
Capt Adam appointed to another ship 'Invincible' - one George would have liked. Mentions he would like a new ship and with his father's assistance would like another frigate immediately. He would like to take Hydra to the same port as the new frigate, and thereby retain many of the crew who has served with him. Rumours of a war between Russia and France. Regrets that the remains of Lord Collingwood are sent home without any officers to accompany them.
