Papers of Alfred Miller Mundy (1809-1877)
Description
Alfred Miller Mundy was the seventh of thirteen children born to Edward Miller Mundy II and his wife Nelly Barton. He married Jane Hindmarsh with whom he had five children; Maria Jane (1843-1902), Nellie Hindmarsh (d 1912), Augusta Marian (d 1893), Edward Grey (d 1849 aged 10 months), Alfred Edward Miller Mundy (1849-1920).
When Alfred's elder brother, Edward Miller Mundy III died without children in 1849, Alfred inherited the Shipley estate.
