Settlement upon the marriage of John Buxton junior, son of John Buxton senior of Chelmorton Town End, yeoman, and Hannah, daughter of John Edensor of Hartington, yeoman

Description
whereby, in consideration of a marriage portion of £109, Jn Buxton senior conveys to George Buxton of Chelmorton, yeoman, and Michael Noton of Burchill, yeoman, a messuage in the middle of Chelmorton (except the end in which is kept the Meeting), the croft it stands on, 2 adjoining closes, a close called Millen Acre, Croft Ends Close, Gouldy Close and a small close at the north end thereof (1a), ½r in the Pikes, 1r upon Stoppar Stone, 2 closes called the Three Roods, a close called the Marston with a yard at the west end, 1½r on the Pikes, ½a upon Stoppar Stone, 1r in Oldfield and a barn called New Barn with a cow house, in trust to the use of Jn Buxton, junior, for life, then to Hannah for life an annuity of £10 charged upon the lands, and then to the heirs of their bodies, 3 Mar.
Endorsed with a memorandum (23 January 1793) on the descendants of Michael Noton and their estates.
