Administrative History | The Cattle Breeding Centre, adjoining Brook House in Buxton was opened as a main centre, with its own bulls in 1950. Sub-centres, controlled by Buxton were situated at Chesterfield, Norton and Wentworth. The area covered by the Buxton Centre included parts of Derby, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire and Cheshire. The Milk Marketing Board controlled the Cattle Breeding Centre. |
