Administrative History
The manor of Heage (or Highedge) belonged to the Stanhope family, Earls of Chesterfield, until 1703 when the Wentworth family became lords of the manor. By 1782 it had passed to the Hurt family.
Custodial History
The records were transferred to the Record Office in August 1999.
