Conveyance from Peter Bown of Codnor Park, agent and his wife Dorothy, Anthony Bown of Butterley Iron Works , agent, and his trustee Gervase Cressy Hall of Alfreton, gent, to Joseph Paxton of Chatsworth, esq, of the "Horse Shoe", stables, gardens, wheelwright and blacksmith shops, land adjoining the Nottingham-Newhaven Turnpike (5257 sq yd), and a parcel of land called the Pingle (2000 sq yd), with two buildings used as a butcher's shop and clam house at Matlock Green, in consideration of £800 and £150, 8 Feb 1851
