| Administrative History | Aston-on-Trent Village Society was formed in January 1970, its object being to "foster and conserve the identity and well-being of the village". In particular, it acted as a pressure-group on the local District Council and County Council with regard to planning issues and other policy matters which threatened to change the character of the village. |
