Administrative History
This chapel was built in 1883. It was part of the Church Gresley Methodist Circuit until 1955 when the circuit amalgamated with the Woodville and Swadlincote circuit to form the South Derbyshire Methodist Circuit. In October 2000 the church was closed and the membership merged with Donisthorpe Moira Road Methodist Church to form a new church on the Moira Road site and in the Ashby and Coalville Methodist Circuit.
There was also another Primitive Methodist Chapel in Donisthorpe, on Chapel Road (reference: Kelly's Directory, 1891)
