Administrative History | The Belper Rural Sanitary Authority was formed in 1872 based upon the Belper Poor Law Union. In 1895, under the 1894 Local Government Act it was reconstitued as the Belper Rural District Council. It was succeeded in 1974 by Amber Valley Borough Council under the 1972 Local Government Act. |
