Administrative History
The charity was set up after Lady Whitworth's death in 1897 to provide educational grants to Darley residents. These were in the form of junior exhibitions for school fees and maintenance, and senior exhibitions for those attending any university or higher educational establishment. The charity was wound up in 1996 and its capital distributed in the form of grants.
