Administrative History	Derby Corporation had provided passenger transport facilities since 1899 in the form of horse-drawn and electric trams. After about 1934 motorised omnibuses were predominant. The earliest volume in the series of minutes in the Record Office is marked "Volume 5". From Apr 1971 the Committee became known as Passenger Transport Committee.
