Administrative History
In spite of activity from 1876, the society did not take root until 1902, when a chapel was built. lt closed in 1962.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in the Record Office by Buxton Methodist Circuit in December 1991 and were formerly numbered D3568/22/1/1-22/3/1. They were re-accessioned in 1995.
Items D4333/4/1-7 were donated to the Record Office in February 2018 by the ancestor of a founding member of the mission, William Bradbury. William was a grocer and cheese factor in Buxton. See also D4334.
