Administrative History
There has been a chapel at Linton since 1799, but a new chapel was built in 1873. The chapel was part of the Woodville and Swadlincote (Wesleyan) Methodist circuit from 1873 to 1955, and then part of the South Derbyshire Methodist circuit.
Custodial History
The accounts and minutes were deposited by the Superintendent Minister of the South Derbyshire circuit in December 1983 and re-accessioned as D4180 in 1995. The baptism register was deposited in June 1997 and re-accessioned as D4180 in January 2001.
