The rental records tenants, names and rents. The account records Matthew Frost junior's account with the Earl of Newburgh for stewardship of the Derbyshire estate and includes receipts for sale of cattle, sheep and game, receipts from minerals and quarries, payments for housekeeping, tradesmen's bills, servants' wages (giving names), expenses of farm, game and fish preservation, builders' work etc.
