Feoffment by Thomas Kirke and Henry Kirke the elder of Martinside in the parish of Chappell in le Fryth [Chapel-en-le-Frith] yeoman to Henry Kirke and Thomas Kirke sons of Arnold Kirke of Martindale. In consideration of £140, part of the herbage, farm or pasture of Herralds or Halsteeds, in the manor of High Peak now or later in the possession of Arnold Kirke or his assigns, with all the soil and ground of the said pasture and all edifices, buildings, horses, folds, yards, lands, meadows, pastures, etc which premises were formerly held of the King of his Honour of Endifield, Middlesex, yielding and paying therefore to the receiver of the revenue belonging to the Ducky of Lancaster, 3/4d.
