Administrative History
A chapel was built by the Wesleyan Methodists in 1843, known for many years as just Longstone Chapel. It was originally part of the Bakewell Wesleyan Methodist Circuit before becoming part of the North Derbyshire Mission circuit in 1905 and then part of the Peak Methodist Circuit in 1944.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office by the Peak Methodist Circuit in July 1978, April 1989 and Sept 1995.
