Administrative History
There first seems to have been a Methodist Society at Peak Forest in 1828. It grew in numbers so that in 1852 the building of a chapel was completed. In 1895 the chapel was enlarged and a schoolroom added. Further extensions took place in 1932. It was a Wesleyan Methodist Church until 1933, originally in the Bradwell Wesleyan Circuit.
Custodial History
The records were deposited at various dates between January 1978 and July 2004. The majority of these records were originally held under the reference number D1877, but reaccessioned in 1994.
