Administrative History	St John the Evangelist Church, Charlesworth became a separate parish in 1849. The parish includes the townships of Chisworth and Simmondley. It was formerly included in the parish of Glossop. It is now part of the United Benefice with Gamesley (see D4043) and Dinting Vale (see D3986).
