Administrative History
The Primitive Methodists built a chapel on land purchased in 1843 at the Market Place or Market Street in Tideswell. The sreet in which it stood later became known as High Street, although it continued to be known as Market Street. Additional land was obtained in 1866 and 1880, and the chapel and schoolroom were re-built in 1893. The chapel was originally in the Bradwell Primitive Methodist Circuit. The chapel was closed in 1972.
