| Custodial History | This item was donated by a private individual in April 2019 having been found in his house. The house had once been a branch of Williams Deacons Bank, the donor believes the branch closed in c 1976, and the letter book, together with one or two volumes relating to the bank, was left on the premises after the bank's closure. It is unclear how it came to be in the possession of the bank - perhaps the bank acted on behalf of the school with regards to financial matters, the bank manager may also have been on the school board, or there could be another explanation altogether. |
