Administrative History | Florence Nuttall began her career as a ward and departmental staff nurse at the Chesterfield Union Guardians Infirmary in 1927. She served the Buxton District Nursing Association between 1932 and 1935 and the Staveley District Nursing Association between 1935 and 1938, doing the combined duties of general nurser and midwife.
In 1940 and 1941, she served briefly in the Sheringham district of Norfolk, before returning to work in the Darley Dale district until 1948. Between 1948 and 1955 she served as Clay Cross District Nurse. In 1955 she became a warden at an old people's home in Grimsby, leaving in 1957 to start duty at Ashton. |
