Administrative HistoryThe school began as Smisby National School and later became Smisby Council School before being renamed Smisby County Primary School. This school closed in 1982.
Custodial HistoryWhen the school closed in 1982, these records were held by Derby and South Derbyshire Area Education Office and transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in July 1988 as part of accession number D1458. The records were reaccessioned in October 1993.
