"Mr John William Wilkinson, Furnace Department, who retired on the 13th July, 1932 after 51 years' service with The Stanton Ironworks Company, Limited, in conversation with Sir Frederick Scopes, Managing Director of the Company, on the occasion of an annual Pensioners' Party held at Stanton on Thursday, the 2nd December, 1954, three weeks prior to Mr Wilkinson's ninetieth birthday."
