From 1890, in place of indication of whether can read, qualification under General Rule 39 is indicated. A strike Feb-Apr 1912 is noted. The register is arranged in date order until 1913, when it is arranged alphabetically by surname. From that date it usually includes residence, in some cases former employment, and exemption from military service during 1914-1918 war. Although originally a single volume, the early sections have become detached and are now incomplete.
