Contains handwritten copies of extracts on Norbury from Pilkington's Derbyshire (1789), Camden's Britannia (1610), Glover's Derbyshire (1833), notes on the FitzHerbert family of Norbury and Winnerton extracted from Burke's History of the Landed Gentry of Great Britain and Ireland (1837), notes on Norbury extracted from Lyssonby's Magna Britannia (1817), note on the death of Micahel Thomas Sadler extracted from the Belfast Guardian (1835), notes on Norbury copied from Davies' History of Derbyshire (1811), printed list of landed proprietors in Norbury, Roston and Snelston (1834-35), notes on Hannah Moore extracted from Wilson's (Wonderful Characters Vol III (1822), notes on Snelston Wesleyan Chapel (nd), loose in volume are a typescript copy of memorial inscriptions in Snelston Church and notes on local charities copied from Dawson and Hobson's History of Ashbourne (nd), there are several small notes attached to the front and rear inside covers of the volume.
