| Administrative History | At the inaugural meeting of the trustees of the Mackworth Estate Methodist Church, on 1st October 1954, it was resolved "to erect a new Methodist Church on the Mackworth Estate", with the Foundation Stone laid on 21st April 1956. Building work was delayed until early September due to a combination of rain, wind and thunderstorms, with the first congregation assembling in the church on 3rd November 1956. The Church held its final services in April 2009. |
