Description | Probate copy of the will of John Holland of Ford esq. To Rev. Christopher Alderson of Aston (co. York) clerk and Joseph Gratton of Chesterfield gent., £50 each; to Rev. William Wilson of Higham clerk, 10 guineas; to Anthony Lax Maynard of Chesterfield esq., 5 guineas; to George Jepson, son of Alice Jepson, 5 guineas; to Peter Jepson of Pye Bridge boat-carpenter, 5 guineas; to William Lockett, son of William Jeffrey Lockett of Derby esq., testator's gold watch and chain but not the seals; to wife Mary, all ready money, securities for money, goods, chattels and personal estate which belongs to her, and the use of, but not the disposing of, all testator's household goods, furniture, plate, linen, pictures, china etc. in the capital messuage at Ford, for her life; to wife for her own use, the mahogany wardrobe and mahogany desk and book case with as many English books as will fit the book case, and also her own portrait by Joseph Wright esq.; to same, testator's chaise, horses, harness and furniture, and all quick and dead stock, hay, corn, straw, husbandry gear etc.; to Rev. Christopher Alderson and to Joseph Gratton, all real estate and residue of personal estate in trust to enable testator's wife to enjoy the same for her life, and then to enable Joseph Bilbie esq. (testator's relation) to enjoy the same life, and then remaindered in tail male on the heirs of the body of Joseph Bilbie, and in default, to his daughter or daughters.
