Lease (and counterpart) and release being a settlement on the marriage of John Holland (son and heir of George Holland of Swathwick in the parish of Wingerworth yeoman) and Hannah Hornbuckle of Norwell Woodhouse (co. Nottingham) spinster, whereby George Holland conveys to Richard Clayton of Little Normanton in the parish of Chesterfield yeoman and Joseph Allwood of Swathwick yeoman, a capital messuage at Ford in the parish of North Wingfield, one other messuage at Ford with the Deanes Croft, the Nether Field, the New Close, the two Renn Parkes, the two Hall Meadows, the Hall Orchard, the Broome Croft, the High Field, the Cole Pitt Croft, the three Nicke Crofts, the two Wood Closes, the two Broome Closes, and the Barn Croft, to hold in trust for John and Hannah. Marriage portion £400. Dated 13/14 January
